From the 1st to the 9th of August in Vilanova i la Geltrú took place the youth exchange Personal Branding for Youth Entrepreneurship. The activity was attended by 21 young people between 18 and 25 years of age, interested in becoming entrepreneurs and coming from Greece, Poland, Romania and Catalonia.
The main objective of the activity was precisely to discover and put into practice the abilities of the entrepreneurs: leadership, self-knowledge, communicative, digital, intercultural and civic skills, among others.
The participants got to know various methods of non-formal learning which are of prominent importance for developing those abilities and behaviours that are most useful when it comes to find a job and, even, create one’s own business. They also discovered projects management techniques useful for putting into practice one’s ideas and develop new initiative that have a social impact and are carried out in a European dimension.
The exchange was part of the international project “Personal Branding” of which Fundació Catalunya Voluntària had been a promoter since the beginning. The project aimed at responding to young people’s lack of abilities, as well as the lack of opportunities to enter the labour market. It was focused in creating privileged spaces for the development of new interests and abilities, as well as for the exchange of experiences.
To take part in the exchange people needed to be between 18 and 25 years old, to reside in Catalonia, to be willing to participate in the activities and to have a basic level of English. Thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission, all the expenses was covered for the people chosen to take part in the exchange.

On the 26th of June at 6:00 pm there was an informative session regarding the exchange.
