The Fundació Catalunya Voluntària-FCV had recently the opportunity to travel to Amarante (Portugal). This is the place where the 5 young participants from Catalonia will be taking their internship with the support of TLN-Mobility Program « Ampliant Horitzons: Pràctiques professionals a Europa », organized by the FCV and founded by the Employment Service of Catalonia-SOC, as well as by the European Social Fund-ESF.
The following day, we went to the host coordinating entity, Aventura Marao Clube, where we met Miguel, responsible for both the entity and the project, and Marcello the mentor of the Catalan participants during their stay. Furthermore, we also visited their accommodation and the different enterprises where they will take their internships, which count with a wide variety of professional fields to perform the corresponding tasks: a reception of a hostel, a graphic design company, production ecology and biodynamic wine, production and distribution of mushrooms grown on the trunk and carrying out sociocultural activities in a youth centre, as well.
During the day, the representatives of the organization explained the history of the city of Amarante and we ended up having a taste of typical Portuguese food in a typical bar, of course.
At the end, we deepened more regarding the host coordinating entity, and we were able to discover that they are in charge of developing multiple projects for local youth while offering spectacular facilities.
Finally, the team returned to Barcelona with very good feelings of the visit and very looking forward to start the TLNMobility adventure.
