Why is half the world asleep today while the other half is going to school?

Today, while Catalan children will only start crying and dragging their twenty-kilo backpacks to school in a week, millions of children around the world are stepping into school for the very first time. But if you think this happens simultaneously in every country,...

Why does an ordinary meal turn into a cultural minefield?

Fork on the left, knife on the right. Your parents taught you the basics, but real etiquette begins where school lessons in politeness end. And the more often you take part in youth exchanges or Erasmus+ trainings, the more you realize this again and again. Take...

Discover Fundació Catalunya Voluntària

Fundació Catalunya Voluntària defines itself as a non-formal training space, with the aim of offering people – mainly young people – the opportunity to develop skills, encouraging active participation in educational and social actions with a positive impact on their communities.

We work mainly within the framework of three programmes: Catalans al Món, Clam per la Pau and Voluntariat Actiu; through which we offer opportunities for training, volunteering, professional internships, participation in events, at local, European and international level.

We offer a space for people to take part in social transformation and improve their environment, reach the ordinary, grow personally and professionally and promote values such as respect, solidarity, responsibility and plurality.
