Practical training experience with the CEMEA management team

by FCV | Feb 10, 2026 | International Trainings, News and experiences! | 0 comments

From February 23rd to 26th, the Fundació Catalunya Voluntària will have the privilege of hosting in Barcelona a practical on-site training visit for a group of directors from CEMEA-Centre d’Entrainement Aux Méthodes d’Education Active, an organization that provides training in non-formal education and in sociocultural activities for young people and children in every region in France, whose came from the Occitanie, Bourgougne, and Pays de la Loire, and, and which took place in Barcelona province,

Over the past two years, CEMEA and FCV collaborated on organizing 3 training programs for adults studying to become either leisure activity leaders, animators and center directors, thanks to the support of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program.

We hope this meeting will strengthen the relationship between our two organizations and help create new opportunities for exchange, learning, and collaboration in the coming year.

Since September 2020, FCV has hosted a dozen activities in partnership with vocational training centers in Bulgaria and France. These activities involved either teaching professionals or students, teenagers, and young adults from these centers (accompanied by their teachers).

Counting all the days of activities, the FCV has been responsible for offering a total of 145 days so more than 200 people could participate, enjoy, and learn from the activities we prepared in close collaboration with over 30 non-profit organizations (associations, foundations, youth centers, informal groups), public institutions (Youth Information Centers, civic centers), and public and private educational institutions, recognizing the quality of their work and their track record.

Three out of every four activities took place in Vilanova i la Geltrú, and the others in Barcelona and El Prat de Llobregat. The groups also learned about and interacted with initiatives in other cities, such as Vilafranca del Penedès, Hospitalet de Llobregat, Sant Pere de Ribes, Sitges, Cubelles, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Cubelles, and Llorenç del Penedès.For more information about the activity, please email projectes@catalunyavoluntaria.cat
