Study Visit in Vilanova i la Geltrú

by FCV | May 15, 2026 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

From June 1st to 12th, the Catalunya Voluntaria Foundation (FCV) is organizing the "Sejour pour Adultes en Formation de Animateur” in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona).

The program is for a group of 12 students enrolled in the official BPJEPS diploma program, which certifies the necessary skills to organize leisure time, sport and educational activities for children and young people. They are with two teachers from Toulouse, Occitanie. This marks the sixth such activity that the FCV carry out in partnership with the French organization CEMEA on the last three years, 3rd done held in Vilanova, for which the FCV has designed a tailor-made program, allowing the group to learn about the work of various individuals, non-profit organizations, youth centers, and volunteer platforms that organize sociocultural and educational activities for children and young people in the capital of the Garraf county

We plan to collaborate again with diverse organizations like the youth information and counseling office of the city council, the volunteer platform 'Defensem l'Ortoll' (‘Let's Defend Ortoll’), and Sensación Activa-(‘Active Sensation’), organization with whom the FCV is collaborating through the ALMA work placement program abroad, at the neighboring city of Cubelles, where the group will spend two mornings immersed in the work they do, as part of the team of animators, who will share their experience and methodology organizing children's and youth activities.

They will dedicate a full day to Barcelona, where they will visit the Mescladís Foundation at the Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc, and one evening to visit the neighboring town of Sitges as well.

Hoping for good weather in early June, most activities will take place outdoors, in the Baixamar neighborhood, on Ribes Roges beach, and in the Ortoll woods.

For more information about this activity, which is supported by the European Commission's Erasmus+ program and the French National Agency, please email projectes@catalunyavoluntaria.cat
