Stories shape our world. They help us understand ourselves, heal, and connect with others. This is especially important within the queer community, where our experiences are often left out of collective narratives.
Our Story – Storytelling for LGBTQ+ Community Wellbeing is an international project co-funded by Erasmus+, bringing together organisations from Spain, Greece, Czech Republic, Italy, and Slovakia. Its goal is to explore how storytelling and artistic practices can contribute to the well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community by creating safe spaces to express, share experiences, and strengthen community bonds.
After the first international training held in Vilanova i la Geltrú and before the next meeting in the Czech Republic, the partner organisations are launching a series of local activities in their respective countries. These events bring the spirit of Our Story to local queer communities, fostering the exchange of experiences through art and storytelling.
On May 31, 2025, we invite you to take part in the “Our Story” workshop with Céline Lurac — an artistic and transformative experience that combines participatory theatre and fanzine creation to give shape to our personal stories.
What will we do?
Guided by Céline Lurac — visual artist, political scientist, and facilitator with experience in community art — we will explore our stories through theatre exercises and create a collective fanzine, where each participant can express emotions, memories, and reflections through words and images.
This workshop is designed to be a safe, non-judgmental space where authenticity matters more than artistic experience. If you’ve never done theatre or made a fanzine before, don’t worry: we will provide all the materials and guide you through the process.
