During the period from August 21st to August 31st, a group of seven catalans called Abel, Albert, Isabel, Joselyn, Laura, Lara and David, had the opportunity to participate in a Youth Exchange in the town of Brebu (Romania) with the aim of exploring the world of youth entrepreneurship, alongside participants from Italy and Greece, as well as those from the host country.

The first days were dedicated to breaking the ice and establishing the base for an effective collaboration. We shared our fears, expectations and contributions to the project we had just started. This activity allowed us to get to know each other better and understand our cultural differences.

As we progressed in the program, we delved into the topic of entrepreneurship. We discussed fundamental economic concepts and the essential values that should guide anyone aspiring to start their own business. Additionally, we explored the importance of communication skills in selling products or services and appealing the attention of potential customers.

One of the project highlights was the creation of our own business plans. Firstly, we divided into groups and we developed business ideas. After that, some of us took on the role of investors, while others became entrepreneurs, presenting their projects and trying to persuade the investors to invest in their business. This simulation allowed us to apply what we had learned and we could understand the challenges of the business world.

In addition, each national group could present their history and customs through dynamic and creative games, regional dance performances or a tasting of typical food from each country, enriching our mutual understanding and fostering respect for the diversity in every single part of Europe.

To sum up, this exchange was a transformative experience for all of us. These programs are a valuable tool for our personal and professional development, providing us with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the business world. Therefore, we are grateful for this opportunity and we hope that more young people are encouraged to participate in similar projects in the future.
