Oops – not a 404! While we’re building our site, we’re already collecting your stories. And very soon, they’ll come to life in a new digital space – a European platform where queer stories can live, be shared, and be found.
This platform is being created by LGBTQIA+ youth and youth workers from five countries, in response to a real need: to be seen, heard, and connected. A space where stories take many forms – text, audio, images, video, zines, poems, letters. Stories of first love, coming out, rejection and support. Stories that make others say: “I’ve lived something similar. I want to tell mine too.”
We’d been mulling over this idea since early 2024, but something shifted last November in Vilanova i la Geltrú. 26 queer youth workers and activists came together for a training on storytelling. Through poetry, drawing, and photography, people started telling stories they had never shared before. The response was immediate – not just from participants, but from their communities. That moment stayed with us.
So here we are.
Launching Our Story, a two-year Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union. Each partner brings their own strength:
– EMANTES (Greece) supports LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers
– SAPLINQ (Slovakia) works on community organising and storytelling
– PRAGUE PRIDE (Czech Republic) empowers queer youth through education and peer support
– OSSERVATORIO DI GENERE (Italy) focuses on gender research and inclusive education
– FUNDACIÓ CATALUNYA VOLUNTÀRIA (Spain) coordinates the partnership and supports learning through volunteering and storytelling
Together, we are building more than a website.
We are building a collective body of memory, resilience, and pride. Because queer lives are too often reduced to fragments – a Facebook post lost in the scroll, a conversation never recorded, a moment of clarity held only in memory. We want to change that.
Right now, we’re gathering the stories that will become the foundation of this digital space. And your story – whatever shape it takes – can be part of it. A recorded voice message. A poem. A drawing from a difficult moment. A letter to your past self. Anything that speaks your truth.

When someone in Košice reads about your journey of being embraced by a Catalan host family, and a girl in Italy finds courage in the voice of a Greek activist, we’ll know we’ve done something meaningful.
We expect the platform to reach at least 300 young people across Europe – and to offer not just stories, but practical tools and a downloadable guidebook to support queer expression and community building.
We are building bridges.
Across borders. Across generations. Across differences.
Once launched, this platform will be a living, growing organism – expanding with each new story.
