The Fundació Catalunya Voluntaria and the French organization “Centros de Entrainement aux Méthodes de Education Active” (CEMEA) are preparing the third joint international training activity.
Activity ’Séjour pour adultes en formation d’éducateur’ (“‘Stay for Adults in Educator Training’) will take place in Barcelona and its metropolitan area from June 2 to 13, 2025. FCV will be responsible for organizing the program of activities for the first week, creating experiences of intercultural discovery and exchange, while learning in the professional field of sociocultural animation and non-formal education.
The group travels from Montpellier, capital of Occitania, made up of 15 people, 13 students of the final year of leisure animation, aged 20 to 35, accompanied by 2 teachers, with the expectation of learning about Catalan culture and enjoying a practical training experience, resulting from knowing firsthand the activities and methodologies of organizations and structures dedicated to the integration and socio-educational support of children, young people and adults, with special attention to activities that use the arts and cultural expression.
For the FCV, this is an excellent opportunity to collaborate again with CEMEA (an organization that offers training in sociocultural activities for children and youth, officially recognized by the French government) and with a small list of Catalan nonprofit organizations known for the quality and long-standing training and social integration programmes. We are grateful for their openness to their respective facilities, centers, and spaces.
During the activity, the group will visit these organizations, participate in outdoor activities, while they will explore several neighborhoods in Barcelona and the metropolitan area, avoiding the touristic areas.
As in the previous two practical training experiences, the FCV is jointly responsible for the pedagogical aspect of the activity, this time with English, French, and Catalan as the official languages.
