From October 6th to 9th, the Fundació Catalunya Voluntària is hosting the international midterm evaluation meeting of the two-year youth-led project “Youth Green Compass” at the Casa del Mar on Albareda Street, Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain).
We will meet in Barcelona with the leaders of the partner organizations that have carried out the set of activities to date. The meeting will involve exchanging information, assessing the achievement of the proposed objectives so far in each country, and analyzing aspects that need to be strengthened and improved.
Some of the highlights of the meeting will include the first implementation of the game created during the project, presenting the results of the six working groups in the area of local advocacy for improving urban sustainability, and preparing for upcoming activities, such as European Environment Week, during which we plan to organize new educational and awareness-raising activities, characterized by emotion, respect, and understanding of nature.
The project’s main objectives, carried out with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, are to encourage young people to participate in initiatives focused on sustainability, the environment, and citizen well-being, and to create spaces for debate and reflection among youth leaders, young people, and local policymakers to develop innovative solutions and new sustainable initiatives.
If you would like to participate in upcoming activities or would like more information about them, please email projectes@catalunyavoluntaria.cat
The Youth Green Compass project is coordinated by the Lithuanian organization Mano Europa, in partnership with EuroPiamo ETS (Italy), Solution Solution: Solidarité et Inclusion (France), Zentrum für Innovative Bildung (Austria), and the FCV (Spain).
