Next Friday, September 19th, the Fundació Catalunya Voluntaria is organizing a special event to bid farewell to summer and welcome autumn: “Learning from Nature – A Day in the Park”, an event that offers a unique perspective on Montjuïc Mountain, serving as a space for exchange, learning, and training.
The event aims to raise awareness about the FCV’s initiatives dedicated to environmental action and awareness, and combating the climate emergency, alongside young people who participate in and wish to participate in various environmental, training, volunteering, exchange, and advocacy initiatives.
The day should help us discover native flora and its impact on improving our health, observe and develop a critical, creative, and constructive view of our environment, and reflect on the impact of our actions and decisions on that environment.
The event will be a meeting place, designed to meet new people with similar interests and have a fun time outdoors. We plan to collaborate with very special guests: environmental educators, biologists, and municipal technicians from the areas of sustainability and parks and gardens, to inform us about local initiatives in which it is possible to participate.
As said, we will also dedicate some time to sharing information about upcoming mobility initiatives, social and political advocacy actions, and other initiatives in which it is possible to take part, and we will ask the group about their ideas and proposals.
The event begins at 10:00 (meeting point: Casa del Mar, Albareda St. 1-13) and runs until approximately 19:00.
