BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The training course is dedicated to developing social and political advocacy skills related to peace, while also fostering exchange, collaboration and peer learning among the participants: 24 people residing in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Germany, Spain and Italy. Participants will learn about some of the main initiatives, networks and organisations addressing peace-related issues, as well as existing alliances for the implementation of the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda.

The activity consists of 4 activities: 3 preparatory online webinars and an in-person activity in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona).

TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:

Before the activity:

Participate in a preparatory online meeting of a maximum duration of 90 minutes.
Participate in 3 preparatory online webinars, each lasting a maximum of 120 minutes (in the afternoon, during October and November; dates to be confirmed).
Organise the round-trip travel itinerary to Vilanova i la Geltrú, using an ecological and economical means of transport.
Keep all travel tickets.

During the activity:

Participate in the activities included in the programme.
Share practices, experiences and knowledge related to the topics of the activity.

After the activity:

Participate in an evaluation and follow-up meeting.
Disseminate the results of the activities within the organisation you represent.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE:

Age: Between 18 and 29 years old.

Interest: In improving social and political advocacy skills for peace, as well as learning and putting into practice the knowledge acquired.

Be part of a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that is youth-led or focused on working with young people.
High level of English (B2).
