Fundació Catalunya Voluntària will carry out the European project of cooperation for the innovation and exchange of best practice: “Youth impact: strengthening organisational abilities to build peace in Europe”.
The project, which will last a year and a half, is being coordinated by the international organization based in The Hague (Holland) United Network of Young Peacebuilders – UNOY, and is the result of the joint efforts of six non-profit, youth organizations that develop Peace Education-related programs. UNOY, the international organization International Civil Service, based in Belgium and four European organizations members of the UNOY network: Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’Educazione e lo Sviluppo – CEIPES, from Italy; European Intercultural Forum e. V. from Germany and Peace Action, Training and Research Institute – PATRIR, from Romania. All these organizations have a long history and FCV has been actively collaborating with them for many years now.
The project relies on the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission and of the Dutch National Agency. It will allow us to jointly conceive a strategy for analyzing the impact of the work in the field of Peace Education carried out by the six organizations. It will provide us with a monitoring, evaluation and learning system that we will use to improve the organizations abilities. With this project we will learn and put into practice methods useful for the analysis, the evaluation and the certification of the impact of the actions realized by the organizations.
From the 8th to the 11th of May, in The Hague took place the first international meeting of the project and from the 11th to the 14th of May took place the first research visit in the SCI offices.
We foresee we will create various intellectual products that will be used for the strategic development and the improvement of the organizations that have an active role in the promotion of Peace Education, both in Europe and outside of it. We will also carry out two more international meetings and we will receive the visit of 3 researchers, in Barcelona, from the 3rd to the 6th of June.
