From 2nd to 7th July, the organization Südwind has hosted one of the study visits being carried out in the framework of the MOOC project in Vienna, Austria. The visit has brought together representatives of the partner organizations Comune di Roma, Universidade de Aveiro, Fundació Ficat, Casa da Juventude de Amarante and Associazione InformaGiovani. The visit has allowed to know initiatives, projects, good practices of the city, in reference to different areas of diversity and management of diverse groups, and to conduct interviews with some of the responsibles, entrepreneurs or beneficiaries.
We visited a school with a very high percentage of immigrant students (NMS Schppenhauerstrasse), a hotel where more than half of the working people were refugees (Magdas Hotel), a tour of the city center guided by a person who had been a tramp for some years of his life (Shades Tours), we met with the head of the disabilities department (Ombudsman for Dissabilities) of the city of Vienna (Dr. Hofer), among others.
The information gathered through the visits and interviews will contribute to the creation of the online course open to all and free of diversity, which is expected to be available in September 2018.
