The United Nations recognizes the value of youth participation in peace promotion.
The Fundació Catalunya Voluntaria-FCV organizes on May 8 a day of training and exchange dedicated to leaders, activists and representatives of Catalan non-profit organizations.
The topic of the day is the Resolution 2250/2015 of the Security Council of the United Nations, dedicated to Youth, Peace and Security in the world.
We will dedicate the day to learn about the contents and services of the first resolution that recognizes the positive role that young people must play in peace and security promotion from a global perspective, which protects and offers security to young victims of violence and who speaks of issues as relevant as education or the protection of human rights. Throughout the day we will analyze how this document can help us overcome the many obstacles that prevent young people from being part of the initiatives for the construction of peace from various points of view and we will exchange ideas on new actions for its implementation within the framework of an action plan.
Representatives from various Catalan non-profit entities, such as the Convivencia Network and AZAHARA, from Roses, and Spaniards, such as ASTREA ONG, from Madrid or the Asociación Azarquiel, from Seville will participate in the day.
If you want to participate in the day, we hope to receive the registration form.
We recommend completing the form as soon as possible, as we can only offer 15 vacancies.
Participation in the training is free.
