From 5 to 11 December 2019, the Seminar ‘Come Together for Better Opportunities’, organized by the entity Youthfully Yours, took place in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece. Around 20 entities from European countries participated, among which the Fundació Catalunya Voluntària. The international seminar, which was carried out with the support of the Erasmus+ program and the Greek National Agency, brought together a large group of people who are active in working with young people, organizing trainings, exchanging employment initiatives, etc. In total, 45 people with a common interest: sharing proposals to carry out new activities and creating new partnerships.

Throughout the week, participants were able to exchange different proposals, using various dynamics and returning home with new ideas to create activities that respond to specific needs, and which we hope to carry out. During the activity, entrepreneurial and social services initiatives were also presented by collectives and non-profit organizations of Thessaloniki, which is the second largest city in Greece and the historical capital of the region of Macedonia.

In general terms, the seminar allowed us to reconnect with entities with which we had already collaborated on several occasions, as well as to meet new ones, which also have a transformative and intercultural educational perspective, focused on active social inclusion, and with which we have planned to carry out new initiatives of international volunteering, exchange and training in the international arena.

In my case, I was able to take advantage of the trip to greet colleagues from this city, such as United Societies of Balkans, Kids in Action or Helios School for Blind people of Northern Greece, with whom I have been collaborating throughout the years.
