Training Series: Understanding and Working with Conflict 2014
From the 7th to the 14th of September 2014, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, took place the training course for trainers “Understanding and Working with Conflict” in collaboration with the World Peace Initiative, United Network of Young Peacebuilders – UNOY and Generations Solidarity. The training course was attended by 22 young people, educators, trainers and teachers who work in the fields of peace and conflict. The participants were from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Catalonia. The activity relied on the support of the European Council.
Goals:
- Provide the participants with knowledge on the training and facilitation necessary to support the processes of communication in a context of conflict (i.e. conflicts inside the organization, the class, during a training, a seminar or an event);
- Introduce the concepts of peace education and human rights;
- Develop the participants’ abilities in working in a situation of conflict as well as introduce tools useful for the transformation of conflict situations, for non-violent communication and for one’s personal development;
- Strengthen and support the participants using drawing abilities and techniques, as well as carry out typical training activities.
Training Series: Understanding and Working with Conflict 2014
Del 7 al 14 de septiembre de 2014 tuvo lugar la formación de formadores “Understanding and Working with Conflict” en Vilanova y la Geltrú, en colaboración de World Peace Initiative, United Network of Young Peacebuilders-UNOY and Generations Solidarity. La formación estuvo protagonizada por 22 jóvenes, educadores, formadores y profesores en el ámbito de la paz y conflicto; procedentes de Armenia, Azerbaiyán, Croacia, República Checa, Francia, Hungría, Lituania, Macedonia, Moldavia, Países Bajos, Rumania, Turquía, Reino Unido, Ucrania y Cataluña. La actividad contó con el apoyo del Consejo de Europa.
Objetivos:
- Proporcionar a los participantes conocimientos de capacitación y facilitación necesarias para apoyar los procesos de comunicación en contextos de conflicto (por ejemplo, conflictos en la organización, la clase, durante una formación, seminario o evento);
- Introducir el marco de la educación para la paz y los derechos humanos;
- Desarrollar las competencias de los participantes en el trabajar con el conflicto e introducir herramientas para la transformación de conflictos, comunicación no violenta, y para el desarrollo personal;
- Potenciar y apoyar a los participantes con las habilidades y técnicas en el diseño y la realización de actividades de formación propios.
