Understanding and Working with Conflict 2017

From the 11th to the 18th of March, the FCV hosted the training for trainers “Understanding and Working with Conflict”, in Vilanova i la Geltrú. The training gathered a group of 25 people (selected between more than 350 candidacies) who had the objective of becoming trainers and helping their communities to handle conflicts in a non-violent way.

On this occasion, the young representatives of non-profit organizations and educational centres came from Albania, Germany, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Catalonia, Croatia, Finland, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, United Kingdom, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.

One of the results of the training was the creation of a checklist regarding the considerations previous to do a training about the management of conflicts. In addition to learning new theoretical and practical tools on issues of conflict, nonviolence and on how to do trainings, the training was used to create a network of interpersonal relationships among participants.

The training program has had the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe. It has been carried out in collaboration with Gyumri Youth Initiative Center, from Armenia, European Intercultural Forum e.V, Germany and Academy for Peace and Development of Georgia.
