The FCV is pleased to announce that from August 21st to September 7th we are once again hosting an international internship activity ‘European Career for Professions with Future’ for students of a professional training center, with the participation of 32 young people, who will gain the experience of an internships abroad and will communicate in at least one language other than their native one (English, Catalan and Spanish).
After the success of the last internship activity (from 9th to 29th of May, dedicated to ecological agriculture) we have been contacted from Bulgaria again. This time from the Yordan Zahariev Vocational High School of Economics and Management, in the city of Kyustendil, provincial capital, very close to the border with North Macedonia and Serbia. In order that FCV organizes the internship activity ‘European Career for Professions with Future’, which aims to help students between 16 and 18 years old to live a learning experience in a different environment than they are used to, to improve their understanding of the employment situation, challenges and opportunities that exist in their field of education.
The group will spend more than 3 weeks to get to know the Catalan reality, with the practical part lasting 2 weeks, when they will be part of the teams of more than a dozen collaborating entities and companies from various sectors of the city, with which FCV will sign a partnership agreement. Students will learn while putting into practice their knowledge of management and administration programs, despite of age, linguistic and cultural differences.
For the group of students (accompanied by 6 teachers) it is an excellent opportunity to learn in a different way, not through usual study, but through observation, hands-on practice, communication and reflection, both individually and in groups, methods with the great advantage of helping to know a little more about oneself and to discover new interests, elements that encourage a greater commitment towards one’s own learning. For this purpose, as always in the FCV, we will use non-formal learning methods, in order to help the group to discover new perspectives and sources of learning and to develop their own initiative. These are elements that explain the success of the previous international activities hosted by the FCV to support learning of both teachers and students.
In addition to the internships, the activity includes 3 days in Barcelona, different visits, meetings, games and free time activities.
It is the largest group and the longest-running activity that the FCV hosts during the pandemic, a challenge for us that we look forward to solve after the experience gained in the last 2 activities (in September 2020, in Barcelona, and in May 2021, also in Vilanova and Geltrú).
The group will be staying at the Hotel César, a privileged space next to the beach of Ribes Roges, where the FCV organizes activities for 14 years ago and which is always very highly rated by the groups that visit us.

This initiative is carried out in partnership with the Centre for European Initiatives ‘Stara Zagora’ and is supported by the Erasmus + programme of the European Commission and the Bulgarian National Agency.
