On Thursday, June 29, all day long, in a place as iconic as the garden of 3 Chimneys Square, in the Poblesec neighborhood (Barcelona), we present the results and celebrated the successes of the international project for skills development and inclusion through creativity and the arts titled ‘Fine Arts for FINE Learning’.

The initiative, lasting 2 years, and coordinated by the FCV, is done in partnership and as a result of mutual support with 4 more youth organizations, from Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Hungary.

From noon to 7 in the evening we have been painting a wall in a choral way, inviting neighbors, tourists, and passers-by to use the paint cans, and, in the afternoon, organized a mini-festival, with the aim of informing the pedestrians of Barcelona of the FINE educational methodology, of the manual with the same title that we are about to publish (the link of which we are going to send to all the people who participated in the event), taking advantage of the occasion to inform young people from the neighborhood about the FCV and various activities (training, volunteering, internships) in which they can participate.

The activity has been carried out thanks to the collaboration of artist and activist friends, such as Reos, designer and graffiti artist, Marcin, Khalifa, and Akbar, musicians, DJs, and lovers of improvisation, and Bastian, who have let us astonished with his magic tricks.

We want to thank the Center Cívic el Sortidor for letting us the portable speaker, the Casa del Mar cleaning team (the best in the world!) for letting us the stairs, and the entire FCV team for their invaluable help before and during the event.

We encourage you to watch the short video of the activity here.

If you are curious and want to know more about the initiative, carried out with the support of the Erasmus + program of the European Commission, do not hesitate to send an email to projectes@catalunyavoluntaria.cat
