The Fundació Catalunya Voluntària is pleased to inform that it has received support to carry out workshops in public secondary schools in 3 cities in the province of Barcelona, to teach students how to carry out CAMPAIGNS, understood as a means of participation, solidarity and struggle to improve the society in which we live.
In this way, the FCV creates an innovative educational action to share its accumulated experience (over almost two decades) on the issues of public advocacy and social transformation, using, for this, non-formal methodology and learning from Peace education in order to encourage adolescents to be the protagonists of all the relevant elements of their own campaigns.
The 3rd and 4th year ESO’ students who will participate in the workshops, throughout the first term of the course, in autumn 2021, will have the opportunity to create their own campaigns, following all the logical steps to create something new and different with an impact on its environment.
The project is led by the FCV in collaboration with 3 secondary schools based in Terrassa, Vilanova i la Geltrú and Barcelona and may be carried out thanks to a small grant received from the Department of Social Cohesion, Citizenship and Welfare of the Provincial Council of Barcelona (Diputació de Barcelona) (Line of Gender Equality, Interculturality and Coexistence).
