6th ToT Understanding and Working with Conflict

Selection process for the 6th edition of the Training of Trainers ‘Understanding and Working with Conflict’ is done. This year we had an exceptional pool of applications to choose from, which made the selection process much more difficult. More than 350 young people applied and we only had 20 available spots on our training. This made our selection committee itchy and anxious because most of the applicants matched project requirements and had a whole lot to contribute to this year’s training.tot2016 (3)

So, after careful deliberation and many hours of thinking, we finally made our decision. The 6th edition of ToT will host young peace builders from 16 countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The United Kingdom, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and Turkey! We are very excited to meet them all and to exchange knowledge about youth work, peace building, different methods and tools they use in their work, and, with this training, help them continue spreading words and actions to make the Culture of Peace flourishing everywhere.

The first phase of our ToT Understanding and Working with Conflict will take place online, from 30th January to 4rd March 2017. The second phase will be the residential training in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona, Spain) form 11th until the 18th of March 2017, when we will meet face-to-face and have a 7-day intense learning andtot2016 (2) exchange process. The final phase of this ToT will be the follow-up workshop which means every participant will apply his newly acquired knowledge by organizing a workshop or an activity in his country of residence.

We feel like this year’s ToT will be one of the best yet, and we are looking forward to meeting all of our amazing participants!

This ToT, coordinated by the FCV, is done in partnership with the European Intercultural Forum-EiF (Germany), Academy for Peace and Development-APD (Georgia) and Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre-YIC (Armenia) thanks to the support received from the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
